The Story of Adventure Paddle Tours

Adventure Paddle Tours, formerly Kayak Lake Dillon offers fully guided kayak tours and Standup Paddleboard lessons in Frisco, Colorado on Dillon Reservoir at Lake Dillon and in Naples, Florida on Rookery Bay and the 10,000 Islands area.

Kayak tours and Paddleboard lessons are led by the most experienced guide staff ranging from Maine certified Sea Kayak Guides to Florida Master Naturalists and Colorado Certified raft guides. They are trained in sea kayak safety, navigation and of course the occasional story telling. Whether booking a kayak tour to enjoy grand views of the Rocky Mountains at Lake Dillon with your family or venturing out for a romantic sunset we’ve got the tour for you.

APT in the beginning

Kayak Tours range from the family-focused 1.5-hour family tours to our fully customized private overnight excursions. Paddleboard lessons and tours are led be ACA Certified Standup Paddleboard Instructors and provide an amazing vantage point, cruising through the many islands or paddling the always calm Giberson Bay on Dillon Reservoir.

Roots in Conservation

It is also our hope that when booking an activity on all future vacations guests will research and purchase from legitimate Eco-tour operators and not from companies only using the eco-tour label. After all, if you can book an airboat tour or jet ski rental, should you really book a kayak tour from them as well.

In Frisco, Adventure Paddle Tours strongly supports High Country Conservation, a non-profit specific to Summit County. Their mission is to promote practical solutions for waste reduction and resource conservation in our mountain community.

In Naples, everyone knows water quality has become a huge issue and unfortunately our wildlife, our beaches, and our economy have been directly affected by 50 years of water mismanagement and special interest influence.

There has been a huge change in 2019, however, and we believe part of this change comes from the work of The Everglades Foundation, an organization founded to protect the Everglades and South Florida’s water. These guys have spent their life on the water and have seen first-hand the negative effects of water mismanagement. We are proud supporters of The Everglades Foundation.
