Naples Tour Directions & Parking
There is no address for this tour. You will need to enter the East River Park and Launch into Google maps. This parking lot is small dirt road with a capacity for up to 10 cars. Often, we are the only cars parked here but on weekends there can be more cars. If guests arrive 15 minutes before their tour, look for our passenger van and kayak trailer parked on the highway. You will want to pull in to the parking lot and find a parking space off of the highway. Guests must park on the left side of the parking lot. Please obey parking signs. We are required to park our van on the highway. You are not.
We meet all guests directly in front of the Ships Store. The Ships Store is located in the same building as the fire station. There is a Ships Store sign above the front door and a bike rack. If you don’t see a bike rack or double doors with a sign reading ships store, you are in the wrong location. Guests must park in a single parking space with no designated parking sign in that space. Do not park in the trailer parking area you might get a ticket here. If the single spaces without signs are full, you must park across the street in the large overflow parking lot. Disregard the towing enforced signs. Those are for overnight parking.
The Ships Store is a convenience store associated with the county owned boat ramp. They are completely unaffiliated with all businesses that operate out of the area. Please keep this in mind when asking them for information. They are constantly bombarded by customers seeking tour companies with less communication to their guests.
This is the closest tour to Downtown Naples, however with this close proximity to Naples, it is the busiest route. Guests can expect to encounter other boaters and kayakers here.
This tour launches from the small water craft launch site at the end of Shell Island Rd. We do not meet guests at the Rookery Bay Learning Center. Guests will turn right on Shell Island Road and will need to drive all the way to the end of the road. At the end parking is on the left and the boat ramp is on the right. There are no buildings at the kayak launch site. If you see buildings, you have not driven far enough. Shell Island Road is a 5 mile 15 mph paved road with multiple speed bumps. Please drive slowly down this road due to tons of wildlife crossing. I have seen wild pigs, rattlesnakes, the endangered Gopher tortoise, and whitetail deer on this road. Please, don’t worry. You will not encounter snakes on this tour.
